Republican Party candidate for US presidential election John Mcain has said that his deputy Sarah Palin is efficient candidate for the post. Mcain said that Palin has been commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard and her son was one of the participants of the guard. He said that by these facts it proves that she does have a fair understanding of national security challenges.
 

Mcain further argued that Palin being the governor of an oil-producing state has obvious knowledge of the energy security issue. However, the campaign has been criticized by the media for it has been restricted to scripted speeches and managed shows. Also, Republicans have been blamed that they are shielding Palin from questions by the press or public.

 

After lots of criticism, Republican Party made Palin to face an interview at ABC, and accordingly, she was not at her best. As she is blamed that she is ill-informed, she showed the same characteristic during the interview. She was not able to answer efficiently that how would she reduce federal fiscal deficit of £4.5 trillion. On the contrary, reports say that she has become a big crowd puller for Republicans, which Mcain has not been able to do.
