The much sought after Bollywood hunk John Abraham has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the UEFA European Football Championship 2008, which will be held in June in Switzerland and Austria. This announcement was made by the MD of ESPN Software India R C Venkateish recently whilst introducing a massive promotional campaign titled 'Bach Ke Kahan Jaoge' for this football tournament.

 

The UEFA European Football Championship 2008 is slated to kickstart on 7 June. Speaking about this tournament, RC Venkateish informed that the number of Indians watching International soccer has increased tremendously. He further declared that consequently an exceptional rating was expected for the UEFA Euro 2008 that would be telecast live and that there would also be a Hindi coverage of this event.

 

Since it is the Hindi speaking viewers in the country that concerned authorities are betting their luck on, the Hindi coverage of the UEFA Euro 2008 is being seen as a mandatory move. The 31-match-tournament will be convened in a total of eight cities such as Basel, Geneva, Vienna, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Zurich and Berne. The final will be played in Vienna on June 29.
