Madhu Koda has resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Submitting his resignation to State Governor Syed Sibtey Razi he pleaded that he was not confident of winning vote of confidence in the state assembly. With his resignation the path is carved for Shibu Soren to become CM of Jharkhand. Earlier, Madhu Koda came to Delhi and talked with Sonia and then resigned.

Incidentally, the evenT has happened exactly after one month of winning of vote of confidence in Parliament with the crucial support of five members of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). On the other hand returning from Delhi, Soren said he would meet the Governor today. He showed his confidence on getting the required strength in 81 member state assembly.

Lalu Yadav, a leading stalwart of UPA, has said that his party will support Soren. Also, he would try to bring back Koda in UPA fold. However, Koda has turned down the UPA leadership's advice to take over as the state UPA chairperson. He concluded that he and some other allies have decided to preserve their political group identity and will soon reach to people.
