The kid’s television channel Jetix would soon be rechristened as Disney XD. This decision adopted by Disney Television International India would be effective from Nov 14, which is celebrated as Children’s Day in India. This day marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
"Disney XD will continue the successes of Jetix by taking boy-focused, girl-inclusive entertainment to the next level," said Natasha Malhotra, the Vice-President and General Manager of Walt Disney Television International India.
"Disney XD will feature characters and stories in a wide range of formats," she added.
The channel had been known under the name of Toon Disney, when it was launched. The entertainment major is also rolling out the online destination for the channel, www.disneyxd.in.
