The Jet Airways may be keen on curtailing its India plan, but elsewhere in Europe the Naresh Goyal-owned carrier is reportedly searching for a second hub after Brussels. Sources informs that it will be probably in a central European country like Italy, Switzerland or Germany where Jet is planning to create its second hub by 2009-10.

The timing for the creation of a second European hub has also been very strategically planned for that is when Jet is expected to introduce the next phase of its international operations. Sources inform that Jet Airways is not only planning to add new international destinations to its kitty, but also step up frequencies to the existing ones in Gulf.

Shedding some light on future plans, Jet Airways chief executive Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, said, 'this year we'll be getting two more A-330s that will be used to launch flights to Saudi Arabia. We'll also link Bangalore to Brussels and beyond by October-end. The planes that join us from 2009 will be used for the next round of growth that will require a second hub in central Europe.'
