The Jet Airways has introduced 14 new flights to international destinations from August onwards as part of its global expansion plans. This has upped the total number of international destinations it presently serves to 20. 'Since August five, we have added 14 international routes. We have 20 wide-body aircraft in our fleet now and will add another two soon,' said Jet CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.

On the domestic front, however, he said that Jet Airways was making a 'conscious effort' to stabilize the network, in contrast to its global plans. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer informed that they held almost 50 per cent share in the domestic market, which the company now wanted to consolidate.

The launch of direct air services from Mumbai and Delhi to Dubai recently made it the Jet Airways' sixth destination in the Gulf region after Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Kuwait, Bahrain and Doha. The Jet CEO, however, also informed that they had temporarily terminated their services to San Fransisco via Shanghai till November.
