With the strike of the pilots of Jet Airways going on strike for the second consecutive day, Jet Airways had to cancel about 100 of its flights on Wednesday also. This has resulted in the deadlock between the management and pilot to worsen, rather than becoming better.
 
The pilots of the Aviators’ Guild have retained their stand, seeking the restoration of the pilots who were fired by the management of Jet Airways.
 
The Guild has agreed to have open discussion but they it has disclosed that the union will not be dissolved.
 
The management of Jet Airways is also maintaining its stand, and has fired five more pilots on Wednesday, making the total pilots being fired to 10.
 
Jet chairman Naresh Goyal has hardened his stand, he said, "I will not hesitate to close down the airline if the people who work for it no longer believe in its philosophy of discipline, guest care, safety and punctuality that has taken Jet where it is today."
 
The situation is become worse after Jet had cancelled majority of the morning flights today also.
 
"However, the airline's operations to Europe, the United Kingdom and North American would be as scheduled," a Jet Airways spokesperson said in a statement.
