India’s private air carrier Jet Airways has registered a net loss of Rs.406.7 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-2010 fiscal which ended on Sep 30 as against the Rs.384.5 crore loss reported during the similar period last fiscal.
The net income for the air carrier for the Q2 of 2009-10 has been registered to be Rs.2,381 crore, which again has witnessed decline from the Rs.3,258.4 crore total income reported during the corresponding period last fiscal.
The airline has undergone losses due to high operational costs and global economic turmoil which has hit hard the aviation industry worldwide. It also faced strike after its move to downsize manpower.
