Jemima Khan, the ex-wife of Imran Khan who is the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and also a famous former cricketer, has recently got death threats from Islamist fundamentalists. The reason for the threat is Jemima Khan's support for a Muslim think-tank, Quilliam Foundation, that advocates religious tolerance.

The Quilliam Foundation was established recently by Majid Nawaz, who happens to be an ex-member of the extremist body Hizbut Tahrir. During the think-tank’s launch on Tuesday 22 April, Jemima Khan said that after getting threat calls she is unsure about voicing support for the foundation. She, nevertheless, added that no response will show that the organization was failing.
