Janet Jackson is expected to take her brother Michael Jackson’s place for some of the concerts at the O2 arena in London. Organisers, AEG Live, are trying to avoid huge losses. Michael’s ‘Jackson 5’ co-star brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon have also been approached regarding the concert.

It is unlikely that Janet, 43, would be doing a full concert at the O2, which is due to start on July 13 and extend until March next year. This is one of the few of options being worked out to avoid huge losses if the shows are scrapped entirely. Janet made her first public appearance after her brother’s death in the BET awards on Sunday where she paid last tributes. Janet said at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, that Michael is an icon and he would live forever in the hearts of the people. She thanked the people for their overwhelming support.

Organisers are also considering honouring all the dates by putting a 'digital' Jacko on stage. Michael Jackson as a silhouette performing on stage would give an impression that he is actually present, giving fans an opportunity to celebrate his music. Meanwhile Jackson's close friend Mark Lester said the star signed up to his strenuous O2 gigs so his three kids could see him perform for the first time.
