Hollywood actor Jackie Chan who became a good friend of Will Smith's son, Jaden while filming for his forthcoming flick, ‘The Karate Kid’ revealed that he is done with action movies and will concentrate more on acting as he prefers not getting hurt.
Jackie Chan quoted, "I do enjoy doing stunts, but I don't like getting hurt. I will continue to do as much as I can. I do hope that I can start to focus more on my acting and less on my stunts.”
The action hero will be making his comeback to the silver screen with Will Smith's son Jaden Smith in ‘The Karate Kid’.
Chan, 52 who plays mentor to Jaden in the flick developed a strong bond with the young actor and was usually spotted hanging out together on the sets of the movie.
Director, Harald Zwart revealed that he soon learned that if one of his stars is missing than the chances are great that the other was gone, too.
Zwart said, "You'd see them hanging out together off set, which is not that usual among actors."
Meanwhile, in the flick Chan portrays the role of ‘Mr. Han’ who is sympathetic and humane kung fu mentor. But, the actor admitted that in real life his own kung fu teacher was hard on him.
"My master was my Mr. Han figure. He was the only master I had for 10 years of my life. In his school, I learned how to fight with my body and weapons. I learned to sing and dance. I also learned how to do my own hair and make-up. My master was not as patient as Mr. Han. He used to use all forms of punishment to get his point across," the actor said.
