Jackie Chan along with Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi released the music of Kamal Haasan’s much awaited film ‘Dasavatharam’ at Jawaharlal Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Friday, 25 April  2008. The Internationally acclaimed actor received the first audio copy of the music tracks from none other than chief minister M. Karunanidhi.
 
The high profile event witnessed the presence of personalities like Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Malyalam superstar Mammootty, south Indian actress Asin, Hema Malini, Jaya Prada and the sultry Mallika Sherawat. It is believed that as soon as Jackie Chan arrived in Chennai, he saw the film made by Kamal Haasan and praised the latter and his crew immensely after watching the film.
 
In the film Dasavatharam, the audience can view south superstar Kamal Haasan in ten ‘avatars’ or incarnations. The music of the film, apart from Tamil, is being released in Telugu and Hindi by Sony BMG. The music score of the film has been prepared by music composer turned actor, Himesh Reshamiya. The film was made with a budget of whopping 120 crore and is believed to be the most awaited film of the year.
