‘It’s A Dream World’: Natha from ‘Peepli Live’  |
Omkar Das Manikpuri plays the main role of Natha in the movie ‘Peepli Live’. He is a Chhattisgarh-based theatre actor and is not able to believe the sudden spotlight in his life. He terms the present on-going scenario as his dream world.
Since the last ten years, Om Kar was a local theatre artist and never even imagined himself acting in any movie. But the call of destiny changed his fortune suddenly and he is enjoying his current fame.
He adds, “I never thought that I would ever work in a film, neither did I plan to work in movies. Till now I feel that I am into some dream world.”
Since, he has got a big break now, so he hankers to work more in the industry and for once with his favorite actress, Deepika Padukone.
“I was not sure whether I would be able to deliver or not. Then Anushaji said that there is of course some difference between performing on stage and in front of the camera, but it's not that big. She asked me to work as if I was on stage. But next day I was comfortable in front of the camera."
Well, this movie based on rural India and farmer’s suicide is surely in demand by every single movie-lover and everyone is desperately waiting for its release.
