When there is craze for item songs in the Hindi films, animated films don’t want to lose any prospect by not using it. Anushvi Productions which in association with Phoebus Creations Media Pvt. Ltd. is producing animated mythological film ‘Dashavatar’ has decided to add an item song into it. Bhavik Thakore director of the company added that he feels the film ‘dry’ without an item song.
The current analysis of Hindi films shows that whether song makes any sense or not but it is added for the heck of adding some tantalizing thing in the film. Item song is a kind of spice to attract attention among viewers. This trend has now seems to have influence animation film industry too. Bhavik opines that the decision has to do more to with cinema than commerce. He says that the song would be used in the situation where a beautiful maiden (Mohini) mesmerizes the demons and lulls them into a sense of complacency. He says that in this kind of situations item song is amply suitable and has all the trappings of an item number.
Bhavik even not accepts it as item songs. He considers it a fun song as he opines that the song can not be termed item song keeping in the mind the current meaning and perception about item songs. The film is scheduled to be released next month. Based on the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu the film has modern touch. The director has shown the Lord from the perspective of children.
