Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while mentioning that he is staunch on creating peace with Palestine without any conditions, mentioned that he wishes that the peace deal should be completed “soon”.

Netanyahu, before holding door talks with the US president Barack Obama, mentioned that he is committed for creating peace with the Palestinians. Netanyahu and Obama had expressed differences over settlements in a rare public dispute between the US and Israeli leaders.

Netanyahu, while addressing the North American Jewish federations, said that the efforts being adopted for attaining peace between Israel and Palestine has to be strengthened.

"There's no time to waste," he said. "We need to move towards peace with a sense of urgency and a sense of purpose."

"My goal is not to have endless negotiations. My goal is not negotiations for the sake of negotiations," he said. "My goal is to achieve a permanent peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians, and soon."

Netanyahu has rebuffed Obama's calls for a complete freeze on settlement activity, including the expansion of current ones.
