'Ishqiya' Rocks With Musical Numbers
Vishal Bhardwaj the music director of ‘Ishqiya' should be applauded for his amazing job with whole lot of effort from lyricist Gulzar, comprising noted singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sukhwinder Singh, Mika Singh, Rekha Bhardwaj and Clinton Cerejo, to make it exclusive of its kind in the present music scenario.
Result is very outstanding and impressive, proving his versatility as a good filmmaker and a classic musician who believes in experimentation and giving something refreshing. As there are certain numbers which are hummable and worth hearing, is sure to hit the music chart burster.
The songs resemble the style similar to oldy music of Raj Kapoor’s film, where the accordion is used in a track. Moreover the remixes which are done have magically an appealing touch, where somewhere it is loud and contemporary, giving an essence of peppy type. Pitches of few songs are done in English lyrics by stupendous Clinton Cerejo
The songs are real catchy with four originals and three remixes. Title song "Dil to bachcha hai" sung by the brilliant Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has retro feel and soothing note that instantly strikes a chord with the listener.
"Ibn-e-batuta" track is quite peppy but not exclusive, done by noted duo Sukhwinder Singh and Mika Singh.
Two remixes are average one is of general remix version and one nucleya remix version.
Rekha’s "Ab mujhe koi" has a soulful touch with a slow-paced track, leaves a mesmerizing effect. Her another number "Badi Dheere jali’ has traditional and western mix is really captivating to ears. Bhardwaj's has made a comeback that sets apart from the industry’s normal numbers that is done extraordinarily with different flavor.
