Robert Downey, Jr. much awaited flick, ‘Iron Man 2’ which released last week is a blockbuster hit and there is no doubt about it. But, the flick is not able to break the records of the sequels like: ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Spider-Man 3’ which was expected.

If we see the early tickets sale records, it shows that ‘Iron Man 2’ is likely to do business of $50 million on Friday and supposedly $125 million by the end of Sunday.

But, even if the flick see increase in the audience coming to theatre, still it’s impossible that the movie will collect more than $140 million in the U.S. and Canada by Sunday.

Before the release of the movie, it was expected that the flick starring Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson can challenge the grand opening collection of $158.4 million of 2008 release ‘The Dark Knight’.

So far the movie has collected $7.5 million from late night screenings after midnight.

Paramount is distributing ‘Iron Man 2’ for financier Marvel Entertainment.
