Iran has mentioned that it is ready for endorsing the UN deal which will enable it to send its potential nuclear fuel overseas for processing.
The remark by foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki is a positive sign from Iran which has indicated that backroom debate between hardliners and moderates on accepting the deal is happening.
France’s foreign minister Bernard Kouchner has mentioned that the world powers should enter into a deal with Tehran for preventing an Israeli strike. “They (Israel) will not tolerate an Iranian bomb. We know that, all of us. Hopefully we are going to stop this race to a confrontation,” Kouchner said.
The UN inspectors, after examining the uranium enrichment site of Iran, have mentioned that the plant is not meant for manufacturing high-purity version for nuclear arms.
Mottaki said that Iran could either send part of its low-enriched uranium stockpile abroad for specialized processing into fuel for a Tehran nuclear medicine facility that is running out of it, or buy the material from foreign suppliers.
