Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has urged Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari to arrest Sunni leaders of Pakistan, who they claim to be the masterminds behind the suicide attack which happened on Sunday.
"Iran and Pakistan have a brotherly relationship but the presence of terrorist elements in Pakistan is not justifiable," Ahmadinejad told Asif Ali Zardari.
Zardari had held telephonic conversations with his Iranian counterpart for finding the solution to the issue in diplomatic terms. He has also criticized the attack which happened on Sunday.
"The Pakistani government should help to quickly arrest these criminals so they can be punished," Ahmadinejad stressed.
"The criminal terrorists must be seriously confronted by setting up a bilateral timetable," he was quoted as saying by Iran's official IRNA news agency.
According to the Pak President, the attack is an indication of the "signatures of a cowardly enemy on the run." He mentioned that Pakistan is determined to continue its support to Iran for eliminating extremism and terrorism.
IRNAA reports suggest that a deadline for confronting the Jundallah group, which has been accused behind the Sunday’s attack, has been set by Zardari. Iran has claimed that Pakistan along with United States and Britain are behind the attack.
Iranian President has mentioned that the plot for the attack was conceived in Pakistan.
"We became aware that some of agents in Pakistan were cooperating with the main elements of today's terrorist incident and we consider it to be our right to demand the rendition of these criminals," Ahmadinejad said.
"We want the Pakistani government not to delay the arrest of the main elements of this terrorist act any longer." General Mohammad Ali Jafari, the chief of the Guards, mentioned that Tehran will urge Pakistan to hand over the Jundallah leader Abdolmalek Rigi, who has been acuused to be mastermind behind the bombing.
He said an Iranian delegation will go to Islamabad to present "proof" of Pakistani support" to the group led by Rigi.
