According to the Monday reports from Press TV, 42 people, including 7 senior provincial commanders, were killed after a suicide bomb went off on Sunday evening. The attack was targeted against the Revolutionary Guards of Iran in the south eastern locations of Iran.
 
The attack happened on Sunday in Sistan-Baluchistan province, near Pakistan, when the guards were on their way to attending a meeting of the tribal leaders in Pishin.
 
Jundollah, Soldiers of God, have claimed that they were behind the attack. Authorities believe that the attack has been launched by the group of people who are involved in drug trafficking along the borders with neighbouring Afghanistan and Pakistan.
 
Jundollah, according to the reports, form the major group which is involved in frequent clashes with Iranian guards at the border lines to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
