Following the settlement of the much heated election outcome, the re-elected Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is ready to hold talks with world powers over global issues.

President Ahmadinejad reiterated his country’s stance over the nuclear issue saying “from our point of view, Iran’s nuclear issue is over.”

President Ahmadinejad said “We are prepared to sit down to hold talks,” however he said Iran will not halt its uranium enrichment programme or negotiate its nuclear rights.

“From our point of view, Iran’s nuclear issue is over. We continue our work within the framework of global regulations and in close interaction with the International Atomic Energy Agency,” he said.

He went on to add, “We will never negotiate over obvious rights of the Iranian nation... Once again, I announce that I’m ready for debate and dialogue in front of global media on global issues,”

Iran will first present its proposals to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council in addition to Germany.

He said, “Setting deadlines for talks is incompatible with the needs of Iran, it needs world constructive cooperation based on respect and justice towards nations.”

On the much debated presidential polls Ahmadinejad said, “Election and post election events was victory of Iranian nation’s morality against immoralities.”
