The multi crore Indian Premier League (IPL) has launched its official website iplt20.com. The website has been developed by Live Current Media (LCM), a Canadian company which has also bagged its rights for the coming decade. The ten year deal states about the creation and operation of IPL websites and the Indian board.
Lalit Modi, the chairman of the IPL said that they chose LCM to develop the site so that fans all across the globe can catch the action of this cricket extravaganza ball by ball. He said that the website is very much user friendly and has all the details which a cricket fan needs to know.
LCM was earlier known as Communicate.com and the company owns 110 domain names. The IPL is expected to draw a huge crowd of audience as there are stars from the top teams of the world playing against each other. Friends can very well turn to foes and vice versa. The IPL kicks off today in Bangalore with Vijay Mallay's team Bangalore Royal Challengers taking on Shahrukh Khan's team Kolkata Knight Riders.
