The Indian Premier League fever has gripped the nation completely and the latest section which is bitten by the IPL bug is management schools. Now popular B-schools in Mumbai and outside are thinking of including the IPL phenomenon in their syllabi. The prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute Management Studies (NMIMS), plans to rope in financial and marketing experts associated with IPL to train its faculty at a workshop on 'teaching sports management'.   
 
Ramesh Bhat, Dean School of Business Management at NMIMS revealed that they plan to offer an elective in sports management and want the IPL team to help them design the course. He further asserted that there’s a lot to learn from the IPL’s contract arrangement, with remuneration being based on performance. The authorities at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai and Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad also reiterate what Mr. Bhat has to say. SP Jain Institute’s Dean, ML Shrikant remarked that the IPL will help the students to understand the concept of a business model where there are number of stakeholders whose interests have to be met.
