AT&T has disclosed on Thursday that MMS facility will be available for its iPhone users from Sep 25.
AT&T said it appreciates the patience of its customers and understands that they were “eagerly” waiting for the MMS rollout.
However, only the 3GS and 3G models of iPhone will support the service. Users of the original iPhone will not be to avail the MMS facility, as their device is not equipped with proper radio.
People using the 3G and 3GS devices need to install a software update to send and receive MMS. According to certain reports, the users were not able to use the MMS command even after installing the required software update.
An Apple executive had said in June that the MMS would be rolled out in summer. It looks as if the iPhone users have to wait for a longer time to use the MMS facility.
