According to reports the Red Corner Notice has been issued by Interpol against Lashkar-e-Toiba founder Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and LeT operations commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.
The Central Bureau Of Investigation of India had requested the Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice against Hafiz Saeed as he had been the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
The investigating agency has collected all the papers from Mumbai Police that also includes the non-bailable warrants which have been issued by the trial court against Pakistan-based Hafiz Saeed.
The non-bailable warrants were issued by a Mumbai Court on June 23 against Saeed as well as 22 others, including LeT operations commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and a suspected military official Col R Saadat Ullah, accusing the plotting of conspiracy to carry out the November 26, 2008 terror strikes.
The non-bailable warrants had been issued by Special Judge M L Tahaliyani according to which the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the CBI Director had to execute them through the Interpol and produce the absconders before the court at the earliest.
