Launching the Connected Indians Movement, the Intel India officials stated that the idea behind it was to provide cheap machines to users. The government and other industry partners too have lent support to this movement. This will be a sea change from the time not long ago when personal computers came for over Rs 50,000, whereas an assembled one could be fetched for anywhere between Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000.
