The visiting French Trade Minister Anne Marie Idrac talking with a private news channel has said that Indo-French N-deal may conclude this month. She said that India and France may conclude a nuclear deal when India's PM will be visiting France in later part of the month. She said that France has been engaging India for very long, and the deal would be a compliment.
The French Trade Minister hoped that the parties would be able to go ahead as soon as possible to decide on the details. She said that the meeting of India PM and President Sarkozy would come up with something pleasing, and she is looking forward for the best possible date and the way to conclude the deal and for that France is well prepared.
If the deal signed successfully, France would be the first country to have nuke agreement with India. Indian authorities have indicated that India is ready to go ahead as well saying they have not promised to wait indefinitely for the India-US pact to come through. The new move from France will force US to go through the deal in swift manner, since it would not like to lose out to France to conclude N-deal with India.
