Low-cost carrier IndiGo Airlines has announced to launch new flight services from six cities of Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Jaipur. Talking to media, the president of IndiGo Airlines, Aditya Ghosh informed that the airline will have 121 daily flights connecting 17 destinations in the country from December 1, 2008. The recent move by the carrier is part of company's expansion plans. Under the plan, the airline will also offer its seventh daily service on the busy Mumbai-Delhi route.
 
Talking about the Mumbai-Delhi flight service, Aditya Ghosh said that terrorist attacks have not only shaken Mumbai, but the whole country. According to him, the carrier feels pride to offer the service to the commercial capital of India. Currently, IndiGo Airlines is operating 18 aircrafts in different parts of the country. The privately owned domestic airline of India, IndiGo Airlines earned massive popularity for its low fares. 

Last week's terror incidents in Mumbai had badly affected the aviation industry. Many of the domestic and international fight services had to suffer the burnt of low traffic. International airlines like Lufthansa had stopped its two flight services to Mumbai for the sake of passengers' security. It is not that only aviation industry has been affected by terrorism, but the entire economy of India is experiencing the menace.
