The Indian women's hockey team pulled a thriller with a 3-2 win over South Korea to enter the final of the Asia Cup and eventually it also qualified for the 2010 World Cup to be held in Rosario,Argentina.
India did a fine start with three goals coming from Jasjeet Kaur and Rani Ramphal. Jasjeet Kaur net two goals as India led 3-0 before South Korea fought back with two goals from their strikers Eun Sil Kim and Mihyun Park.
South Korea did a good fight back and tried in every way to win the game, but Indian goal-keeper Dipika Murthy did an astounding job by making some fine saves.
Indian hockey coach MK Kaushik said, "I am all the more happy because the team almost translated 80 per cent of my instructions on the field."
India will now face China in the final, which is to be held on Sunday. Earlier China defeated the defending champion Japan in the other semi-final.
