The Indian Team for the upcoming West Indies Tour has been announced today. The team does not have master blaster Sachin Tendulkar as well as Zaheer Khan, the ace bowler. Fast bowler Asish Mehra is making a comeback after he made an impressive performance during the IPL for the Delhi DareDevils.
Abishek Nayar, who was in the Mumbai Indians, is also in the team. He is an all rounder. This is the maiden call for Abhishek.
Virender Shewag is not a part of the West Indies tour because of his shoulder injury where as Suresh Raina, who has developed an injury has also been omitted by the selectors.
The West Indies Tour of Indian Team is an ODI series and will have four matches. It is scheduled to begin on the 26th of June, 2009.
