The national selectors have announced the 15 member Cricket team for Bangladesh tri-series and Asia Cup 2008.

The national selectors have inducted new faces in the 15 member squad for the Bangladesh tri-series ODI tournament. The BCCI selectors declared the team on Friday, May 30, 2008 which will include Baroda all rounder Yusuf Pathan and young Hyderabad left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha. The two young players will be seen playing in next months Bangladesh tri-series as well as the Asia cup in Pakistan.
 
The Bangladesh tri-series and Asia cup squad will largely be a young team as former skippers Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid have not been picked up in the 15 member team. Master blaster sachin Tendulkar is as it is not available for the tournaments owing to groin injury. Spinner Harbhajan singh will also be missing the tournaments owing to his slapping row with Sreesanth in the IPL match.

The Indian side will be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The selection panel headed by Dilip Vengsarkar has also recalled seamer RP singh who replaces Munaf Patel. The final fifteen member squad includes Mahendra Singh Dhoni (C), Yuvraj Singh (VC), Virender Sehwag, Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, S Sreesanth, Yusuf Pathan, Ishant Sharma, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar, R P Singh, Pragyan Ojha and Piyush Chawla. The announced team will play the June 8-14 Bangladesh tri-series along with Bangladesh and Pakistan and the June 24 – July 6 Asia Cup in Pakistan.
