Indian hotel industry is going worldwide now. This time Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) of Tata group has signed for a partnership with Cuiting Hotspring Hotel Management Company Ltd (CHHMCL) to run two hotels in China. The selection of the sites too have been done by now, and the first site is close to the landmark heritage site of The Temple of Heaven. Raymond Bickson MD of IHCL said one cannot become a global brand without looking what both countries will bring to the table.
 
The first hotel to be built near to The Temple of Heaven will have 46 rooms. And, the hotel will be in the category of deluxe luxury. Built in Chinese style of architecture the hotel will develop sixty more rooms in span of time. The hotel is expected to come into existence within six months of time. This is first time that IHCL has ventured into China land. According to the reports IHCL believes that the partnership will not only benefit its overseas customers, but also the 10 million outbound Indians.
 
According to the reports published the deal has been signed between Taj International, Hong Kong which is solely financed by IHCL and CHHMCL. The deal is in its kind for it is first hospitality transaction that has taken place in China by any Indian company. Raymond Bickson commented that company is attaching huge importance to these projects. Interestingly enough China is amongst the top 10 global tourism markets in the world and fetched 135 million tourists in the year 2007.
