Helped by a power-packed performance by Vignesh, who scored a brilliant 57 off 43 balls and claimed two wickets, India XI won the ICL 20s World Series title beating the ICL World XI by 10 runs in Hyderabad on Tuesday night.

ICL India XI scored 148 for eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs and then restricted the ICL World XI to 138.

For his superb all-round performance, Vignesh was chosen the Man of the Match.  Vignesh's knock of 57 included five fours and three towering sixes and played decisive in ICL India XI’s win.

Damien Martyn, former Aussie batsman, led the fight back for World XI, scoring a quick fire 60 off 48 balls but except for Lou Vincent (28), no other World XI batsman stayed at the crease for long.

Earlier, ICL India XI got off to a great start after skipper R Satish elected to bat after winning the toss. The India XI openers put a stand of 76 runs in 10 overs for the first wicket. Ibrahim Khaleel (34) and Vignesh milked the World XI bowlers at will, scoring at a fast pace. Despite the great start, India XI batsman could not keep the same momentum and managed to score only 147 as only Stuart Binny (13) and T Kumaran (10) could make a double digit.
