New Delhi is likely to share the evidence of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks with UN chief Ban Ki-moon during his India visit. The UN General Secretary will come on a visit to India on February 5. During his India stint, Ban Ki-moon will attend a conference on climate change called Delhi Sustainable Summit. According to sources, Ban Ki-moon will also hold meeting with the top leadership of India with a motive to discuss the situation in the aftermath of the Mumbai atrocities.
During the top level meeting, Indian leaders will share with UN chief the results of investigations done in the Mumbai attacks. New Delhi will be trying to pursue Ki-moon to pressurize Pakistan to prosecute the culprits of the atrocities. India has already provided Islamabad the results of its probe on terror attacks and if Pakistan rejects those evidences then India will surely approach UN.
According to official sources, a detailed list of individuals and entities based in Pakistan who have been involved in different attacks on India has been complied by India as it wants UN to include more individuals and entities in the terror list. Before coming to India, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit Islamabad where he will be discussing the situation arising out of the Mumbai attacks. During his last India visit, the UN chief had appreciated India's role of maintaining peace in the region.
