According to the National Book Trust, India will be the guest at the Moscow Book Fair which is scheduled to be held in Moscow from Sep 2 to Sep 7.
There will be a pavilion of more than 1000 sq metres which will exclusively be dedicated to India. This section will exhibit about 100 books on Mahatma Gandhi, including some written by Gandhiji himself, an NBT statement said.
The Indian pavilion will be showcasing more than 1,000 new titles in over 21 languages during 2007-09 by 100 publishers along with an author's delegation of 15 eminent writers and Russian translations of 10 books printed by the National Book Trust.
The India Pavilion at the Moscow Book Fair is part of the Year of India in Russia, 2009.
Most of the titles which will be showcased in the fair will be the original editions of the books, where as many others are translated as well as re-issued ones. The titles will be compiled in seven catalogues.
