India took a 4-0 lead in the seven-match hockey Test series at Tamanawis Park defeating Canada by 3-1. Sandeep Singh continued his rampaging form scoring twice in the 35th and 67th minute.
 
The opening goal for India was scored by Gurwinder Chandi in the 29th minute. David Jameson pulled one back for Canada in the 41st minute.
 
Canada made an aggressive start winning a penalty corner when Mark Pearson was stick-fouled by Sandeep but failed to convert it into goal.
 
India made a cautious start and committed numerous unforced errors. Both teams earned two penalty corners in the first quarter but could make use of them. Sardar Singh helped India open their account, who strode with great pace in the midfield to set up Prabhjot.
