India on Thursday (8th January) slammed Pakistan for its "flip-flop" over owning citizenship of Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist who attacked Mumbai on November 26.
Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee told a gathering at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Chennai that, though Kasab had categorically revealed his nationality, places of his training and location of his masters, there is a consistent flip-flop on the part of Pakistan government to own his nationality.
He called upon anti-terrorist wings in all countries to take cognizance of such operation and bring the perpetrators to justice. He also called upon NRI and PIOs to join India in playing an important role of taking forward India’s concerns to the world stage.
He also asserted that such strikes will not shake India’s resolve of inclusive growth as India can manage multiple challenges at the same point of time. However, he added that India can succeed in her journey only if such kind of sponsored terrorism is resoundingly defeated -- financially, monetarily, militarily and politically.
