India and Nepal has plans for launching a joint operation for putting an end to the anti-national activities related to circulation of fake Indian currency notes in the Inida- Nepal borders.
"Both India and Nepal will be launching a joint operation in bordering areas after Deepawali to check circulation of FICN and activities of anti-social elements," District Magistrate VK Srivastava said after a meeting with officials of Nepal today. The criminals of both nations will be swapped in connection with criminals cases.
The said meeting was attended by officers of district administration, police, SSB, army, custom, immigration and other departments of both the nations. Srivastava mentioned that the discussion related to the mutual solving of problems and identifying citizenship on the borders were also held along with aspects related to enhancing the internal security of Nepal and India.
Chief district officer of Rupandehi district in Nepal, Nagendra Jha, mentioned that India – Nepal relationship will be maintained at any cost. He also mentioned that, "Criminals often cross the border after committing crime. This practise would be stopped."
