A top BCCI official on Thursday (November 27), a day after the brutal terror attack in Mumbai, informed that the remainder of England team's cricket tour of India involving two ODIs and two Test matches is being called off in the wake of Mumbai terror attacks.
BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan had a meeting with top officials of the England team in Bhubaneswar to discuss the tour. England team has expressed reservation about continuing the tour and conveyed their decision to the BCCI, the official said.
On Wednesday, one of the most violent terrorist attacks rocked Mumbai killing at least 101 and sending hundreds of injured. The terrorists struck at the city's most high-profile targets including the hyper-busy Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the iconic Taj Hotel at the Gateway and the luxury Oberoi Trident at Nariman Point.
