This chocolate boy became the heart throb of millions after his debut in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. He admits that he is more inclined towards doing romantic comedies rather than action films.

So, he totally justifies the choice of the Mills & Boon’s publishers for selecting him as a character in the novel (special edition, I Hate Luv Storys). Imran Khan feels that he fits best in the romantic comedy kind of spectrum.

His set to release movie, ‘I Hate luv Storys’ also talks about another tale of romantic comedies.

He further adds, “As an actor when you are working in a romantic film, it's more fun. In action films, there is very less acting. There we are usually running, fighting, jumping or falling... so very less space for acting is left.”

Imran further adds, “But the romantic and comedy films are more dependent on actors - how you say a particular line with correct expression is important. So there is more acting involved.”

His upcoming movie, IHLS is directed by debutante Punit Malhotra and it is produced by Karan Johar. Imran has previously enacted in three movies, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Kidnap and Luck. All the three roles have been different for him and give different dimensions to his acting skills.

He further adds, "I have done six films till date, only three have released. Among those six, four were with first-time directors. When I work with new directors, we think on the same lines... and we speak the same language. Punit is two years older to me; so when I met him I felt that his thought process, his tastes match mine...This is a young film for people of our age.”

IHLS is releasing on July 2 and it has Sonam and Imran in the lead role. Sonam is Simran in the movie and she is a typical dreamy bollywood character with a great zeal for romance. While, Imran (Jay) is completely opposite to Simran when it comes to romance.
