A couple of enticing new features have been added to the popular music website of the iLike Company, ilike.com. These features include full song playback and a self-serve advertising platform. The iLike Company that boasts of having 30 million users will now allow them to listen to full songs instead of the first 30 seconds as was the trend. The full track streaming is being proffered through an alliance with Rhapsody. The iLike company gets private funding from contributors such as Ticketmaster, Khosla Ventures, Bob Pittman and others.
It has now introduced an advertisement platform for promoting concerts, artists and bands and this way assisting them to zero in on specific users based on several criteria such as music taste and location. The iLike can be accessed through its own website as well as through its applications on popular social websites like Facebook where users can play clips of music they like on their profile. At the moment, it is possible to hear the entire song only on the ilike.com website, but the new feature will soon be added to the applications soon. ILike also features a sidebar that is used with Apple's iTunes. The artists get paid each time somebody listens to their compositions.
