IIPM has challenged AICTE in High Court of Delhi as AICTE on 30^th June had scrapped IIPM as fake university operating without any credentials. Earlier too, IIPM has been involved in legal dispute with UGC. Noteworthy point is that IIPM has alleged that the AICTE had ulterior motives in issuing notice. Earlier UGC had put IIPM’s name in blacklisted universities which after legal battle has been removed now.

 

There were many irregularities in IIPM courses and it is not affiliated with any Indian institute. It is this reason why the AICTE did not recognize it. The IIPM says that it has collaboration with foreign universities, which AICTE does not recognize as it asks for affiliation with Indian universities. AICTE, working under its supervisory and regulatory authority, declared IIPM as a fake institution and asked it to shut its operation. The court after hearing the appeal of IIPM has asked AICTE to file the response before or on July 22 in this regard.
