IIM Bangalore has become first management institute to impart management education to politicians. BJP, looking for better management through well trained leadership this time, has decided to let its MLAs get trained at IIM Bangalore campus.
Karnataka CM BS Yedurappa talking on the decision said that BJP is thinking to give training to all Karnataka MLAs including all the ministers. According to CM Yedurappa, there are so many first time ministers and they need training.

The course would be available in English and Kannada languages. Duration of the course would be half day and is specially designed for BJP MLAs, to suffice their need. Gopal Naik, Director, Centre for Public Policy, IIM Bangalore commented that the course would be about the introduction of certain concepts, and its applicability in participant’s day to day ministerial roles would be seen in the governance. Further he concluded that he is thinking the idea of bringing management concept to governance.
