ICL expanding its influence has included its ninth team Dhaka Warriors in its forthcoming cricket season. Habibul Bashar is the captain of Dhaka Warriors. Other than him, six more players from Bangladesh national side have been included in the team. They are: Aftab Ahmed, Alok Kapali, Shahriar Nafees, Farhad Reza, Dhiman Ghosh and Mosharraf Hossain.

 

However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is unhappy with its players who have sided with ICL. The BCB has tried all the mantras to lure its players without any avail. The players did not seem to show their interest in the income they could have got for playing national side instead of playing the ICL matches. Shahriar Nafees showing the revolting voice said that every player has the right to choose what he wants.
 

On the similar note, ICL chief Kapil Dev said that ICL wants Bangladesh national players to play for Bangladesh, but when they are free, they can play for ICL. Dhaka Warrior captain affirmed Kapil's statement and said that ICL has told all the participating players that whenever they want to play for national side they are free to play. However, the BCB has asked its player to reconsider their decision.
