The Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Haroon Lorgat has assured the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that he will internally discuss the demand of the BCCI to remove Clive Lloyd from the chairmanship of its Cricket Committee, with world governing body's chief David Morgan.

Clive Lloyd’s comments on the existence of Indian Cricket League enraged the officials of the BCCI and they demanded the ICC to remove him from the chairmanship of its Cricket Committee. Clive Lloyd during a media conference in Mumbai recently, had said that the Indian Premier League and the rebel Indian Cricket League must co-exist with realizing their responsibilities.

Lloyd had also said that the ICC should take measures to integrate the two Twenty20 leagues, the BCCI-initiated IPL and the Essel Group-floated ICL. The BCCI contended that the former West Indies Captain, in his position as the head of a sub-committee of the ICC, should not have aired his views on the contentious issue.
