Hyundai India has launched its modernized Gen i10 in the Indian market. It is also launched in global markets simultaneously.
 
The new Gen i10 is fitted with 1.2 litre Kappas engine with variable valve along with certain modifications in its interior and exterior sides. The engine now provides   maximum power of 5500 rpm and 100 nm of maximum torque due to the update in the engine. The fuel efficiency has now been recorded as 20.36 km per litre instead of 19.86 kmpl, which is an improvement sure as compared to the previous models.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer H W Park said, "We have further boosted the design element and packed the car with safety and comfort related technological innovation...and we believe this will set new benchmark in this segment.”
 
According to the company, the new i10 will be available in two petrol engine variants such as 1.1l and 1.2l.  The 1.1l will have a mileage of 19.81 km per litre, whereas  the 1.2l engine is expected to show a fuel economy of 20.36 km per litre, said the company.
 
Apart from the new kappa engine, the product would get a new styling in its exteriors. The front will have a new hexagonal grille with better headlamps and the tail lamps have been slightly modified.
 
Similarly, the interior has been comfortable due to new seat design, air con controls and air vent surrounds, digital fuel gauge and gear change indicator on the LCD screen. Bluetooth, reverse parking sensors, keyless entry, foldable and heights adjustable drive seat are some of the other advancements in the new Gen i10.
 
The new i10 is available for Rs 3.48 Lakhs for the base 1.1 model and the upper end model costs Rs 5.91 Lakhs.
