Hyundai Motor India, the second largest car manufacturer of India has registered a 11.03% growth in its sales for the month of October as against the 51,736 units reported during Oct 2008.
The domestic sales have been registered at 28,301 units logging a 41.44% surge from the 20,009 units sales registered during the similar period last fiscal.
"The festive period of the last two months generated strong sales and has given the Indian automobile industry some respite from the sluggish performance of the last few months," said the HMIL Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Arvind Saxena. He also mentioned that this is an indication that the company will register a positive double-digit growth for the rest of this fiscal.
"This might be the turning point the Indian automotive industry has been waiting for," Saxena said.
The exports have declined by 11.86% to be registered at 23,435 units as against the 26,587 units reported during similar period last fiscal.
