Hyundai Motor India Ltd has exported its i20 models to Europe which happens to be largest market for Indian cars. The company shipped out the first consignment of i20 model from its Sriperumbudur plant near Chennai. The first consignment of exported cars contained a total 2,820 units. The Hyundai i20 cars will be available in countries like Greece, Austria, Croatia, Britain, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Hungary.
The company seems to consolidate its international presence by exporting its cars throughout the globe. Hyundai Motor India Ltd has set a target of shipping its vehicles to 110 countries of the world by the year 2009. Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Europe are the target markets. The company is also focused on strengthening its domestic market in India.

Since its inception, the company has emerged as the leading car manufacturer in India. Hyundai offers 26 variants of passenger car in 6 segments.
