Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) announced that the company will export 120,000 units of new i20 models in 2009. The i20 car is priced between Rs 4.80 lakh and Rs 5.82 lakh.  While talking about the Hyundai i20 car, HMIL Managing Director, H.S. Lheem stated that the company has been receiving massive orders for the new variant from all over the globe ever since its launch at the Paris Motor Show.  The car maker is expected to achieve strong growth both in domestic and export markets despite market slowdown and its impact on exports.
 
South Korean car maker's India unit has already exported 2,820 units of the i20 variant to several countries in Europe. The new consignment of Hyundai i20 models will be exclusively manufactured at the company facility in Chennai which will be exported worldwide. HMIL is expected to make a worldwide presence of its new variants with its proposed export plan.
 
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is unit of South Korea-based Hyundai Motor Crop. The parent company is the sixth largest car maker in the world. Over the years, HMIL has emerged as the second largest and the fastest growing car manufacturer in India. HMIL's brands like Santro, Getz, Accent, Elantra, Sonata Embera and Tuscon, now-a-days rule the streets of the country.
