Separatist forces in Kashmir once again have started talking offensive. One of the strongest separatist party Hurriyat with other fractions of it have decided to march to the United Nations Military Observers Group (UNMOG) office in Jammu. They will present a memorandum and will ask the intervention from the U.N. Secretary-General for granting of right to self-determination to Kashmiri people.
In a meeting held to make consensus where all senior Hurriyat leaders, including the chairmen of both the factions, Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq met and decided that movement for freedom had entered a crucial stage and they will be cautious about saboteurs during their protest march. However, these separatist forces are willing to protest peacefully.
To meet out any unwelcome event during the rally, Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Kachoo Isfandyar Khan and SSP Syed Ahfadul Mujtaba talked with the Hurriyat leaders and intimated about their apprehensions on the same. However, the UN office being located in a sensitive zone the administration is not willing to take any risk and might impose curfew on Monday-day of rally.
